A site I would never see here. It’s beautiful. Just how I imagine far away lands would be. Fantastic framing too. I don’t know if this is a common site for you, but it’s very unusual for me. I could spend all day walking around this scene. Thanks for the view.
Is this in the Netherlands? It’s very lovely, especially the reflection and the way they look so tiny, like those little battery powered fans you get in summer, or children’s toys.
It’s kind of that stereotypical view of the Netherlands one thinks of… but the treatment of the photo is really nice. It could almost pass as archival.
Congratulations – your photo has been selected as the “Shot of the Day” for March 14, 2009, on the new site “Photoblogs – Shot of the Day” (http://pb-sod.blogspot.com)(please advise if you would prefer us not to display your image)
The viewing angle is great, the reflection is wonderful

A scene of immense beauty and tradition. Glorious in mono, the perspective and composition simply perfection.

Your vantage point is great. We are really drawn to the reflections of the windmills here. So beautiful in black and white.

I like the windmills, remind me of Kinderdijk. Pros are the reflections and B/W in general, it suits the shot. Some areas are a bit dark though?
